Is a medium firm mattress for me?
Medium firm sleeping surfaces are extremely versatile and work well for many sleepers. However, they are best designed for side sleepers with larger statures or lighter stature front/back sleepers. In relation to side sleeping, you receive slight cushioning around your shoulders and hips, whilst getting enough support for your spine and body weight. For front/back sleepers, you need a firmer surface to have spinal support, but you don't want it to be too firm for your body weight. That's why it's great for lighter statures in this regard, and you won't wake up with aches and pains due to an overly firm sleeping surface.
