What range of small double children's beds does Mattressman feature?

Here at Mattressman, our small kids' double beds consist of triple sleeper bunk beds; the bottom bunk consists of a small double bed designed to sleep two, whilst the top bunk is a single bed accommodating a single child. Therefore, our small double beds are ideally suited for a trio of siblings sharing a bedroom.

Are bunk beds the same as mid sleepers and high sleepers?

Whilst all three types of beds can all be considered 'high beds' and represent similar structures; with mid and high sleepers, in the space of the bottom bunk, there are integrated storage options such as shelves and drawers.

Is a kids' small double bed suitable for my child?

In theory, a small double bed can accommodate anyone from a young child to an adult; however, when you're looking to purchase a new children's bed, it is important that you consider how relevant our range of kids' small double beds is to your circumstances. Continue reading to gain an insight into the suitability and benefits of triple sleepers.

Age suitability

Due to its elevated height, the top bunk is designed to sleep children between six and sixteen. With this in mind, if your eldest child is under six, it's worth looking at an alternative children's bed to ensure your child's comfort and safety, such as our range of toddler beds and cabin beds.

Consider who you are buying the bed for

A triple sleeper bunk bed is designed to accommodate two or three sleepers; therefore, a bunk bed may not be necessary if your child doesn't share a bedroom. Whilst a bunk bed can represent a viable option for a single child, with the bottom bunk serving to offer storage; a single child can't utilise the full benefits of a triple sleeper bunk bed.

If you're interested in the structure and design of a bunk bed but are looking for a bed for a single child, then consider our range of mid sleepers and high sleepers. Moreover, a mid and high sleeper bed is designed for older children, so if your children are approaching their teenage years, a mid or high sleeper may be a more suitable option than a bunk bed. Our collection of mid sleepers and high sleeper beds is better suited to children not sharing a room; these bed frames are elevated and feature a spacious storage compartment to store toys and other trinkets. These children's beds actively help to keep your child's bedroom tidy.

Whilst a triple sleeper can accommodate three sleepers, this isn't to say that a triple sleeper bunk bed can't be utilised by a pair of siblings sharing a room. The bottom bunk suits teenagers who can enjoy the benefits of a small double bed, with the top bunk sleeping the younger sibling.

Consider the size of the bedroom

Stylish and sleek in design, our triple sleeper range is destined to suit all children's bedrooms, however; triple sleeper bunk beds are an ideal purchase for smaller bedrooms as they accommodate three children with the bottom bunk only resembling the width of a small double bed. In addition, these kid's beds free up floor space and allow for a minimalist bedroom.

What materials does Mattressman's range of small double bunk beds consist of?

Our kids' small double beds are constructed solely from wood, offering a stylish and timeless structure designed to stand the test of time.
