A Familiar Face Returns
For long-time customers, Mattressman has always been more than just a name; he’s been part of the family.
Our original mascot was a local legend across the East of England, appearing at community events, on TV, and in radio ads that made everyone smile.
“People remember Mattressman,” says Jodie Huggins, Head of Brand. “Whether they saw him on TV or met him in person, they built a real connection. Today’s shoppers want brands that feel relatable and authentic — and our new cute, cuddly Mattressman perfectly captures that.”

Under new CEO Mark Wootton, Mattressman is entering its next phase of growth. After achieving record sales last year and being named Medium Bed Retailer of the Year 2025 by the National Bed Federation, we’re more committed than ever to helping the UK sleep better for less.
“In a market that’s become a little too vanilla, we’re standing out by reviving a mascot associated with playfulness, trust, and authenticity,” says Wootton. “It’s this kind of feel-good, human retail that British shoppers connect with, and that’s what Mattressman stands for.”
This marks the second phase of our brand evolution, following our visual refresh in 2024. Our new mascot embodies warmth, joy, and a sense of fun, the perfect way to bring our promise of unbeatable sleep to life for a new, social-first generation.
Expanding Nationwide With Three New Stores
The return of Mattressman also coincides with the opening of three new stores: one in our home county of Norfolk and two in London.
These openings highlight our continued investment in physical retail, backed by a strong online presence that serves customers nationwide.
