Triple edge protection refers to slightly raised mattress borders providing edge-to-edge support and ensuring the entire mattress surface can be utilised.
Double-sided
Our entire collection comprises double-sided mattresses; ensure the longevity of your luxury seasonal turn mattress by regularly rotating and flipping the mattress to utilise both sleeping sides. Hypnos have included handles around the borders of the mattresses to aid with the mattresses rotation.
Hand-tufted surfaces
Hand tufting is common among premium and quality mattresses and ensures the mattresses layers remain aligned, thus preserving its longevity.
Environmental commitment
Hypnos' partnership with Red Tractor, ensuring all materials used to comprise their mattresses are traceable back to Red Tractor assured farms, showcases their environmental commitment. Similarly, Hypnos sources cotton fillings from CottonConnect and works with the Better Cotton Initiative to source cotton fibres for fabrics. Another example of Hypnos' commitment to sustainability is its low-carbon sustainable designs; all Hypnos products feature fibres that are biodegradable or can be repurposed.

What is our range comprised of?
Pocket springs
Regarding tailored support, pocket springs defy every exception of what comprises a good night's rest. The springs reside individually within fabric pockets; each spring independently senses movement and reacts accordingly, providing optimal body support and comfort. For anyone sharing a bed, pocket springs also come to the fore. Pocket springs are renowned for their excellent shape and weight distribution, preventing 'roll together', which occurs as a consequence of the mattress being unable to distribute weight and causing a dip in the middle. For even greater tailored support offerings, the Hypnos wool Origins 8 features a layer of Adaptiv comfort springs in addition to the pocket springs. Moreover, our Hypnos mattress collection features a range of options with latex renowned for its body-moulding and temperature-regulating properties.
Natural fillings
As the name suggests, a natural mattress consists of natural materials such as wool and cotton. Our collection features wool, with many of our mattresses including responsibly sourced unbleached cotton. Wool is a fantastic filling as it's recognised for its temperature-regulating properties, ensuring you remain warm and cosy during the winter and cool during the summer.
What tensions does our collection feature?
Our collection can be categorised into six mattresses, each offering the choice of two different tensions.
Medium tension
A medium mattress is designed with side sleepers in mind; the soft cushioning provides fantastic hip and shoulder support whilst sleeping in this position. Please note that a medium-tension mattress is deemed unsuitable for front and back sleepers as the mattress won't be of adequate firmness to provide sufficient spinal support.
Firm tension
Conversely, a firm mattress is ideally suited for front and back sleepers; the firm tension can adequately support the spine while front and back sleeping.
What sizes are available within the range?
Our collection features mattresses in every standard UK size varying from small single to super king; we also feature king and super king sizes and link options. Please note our wool origin mattresses can also be purchased alongside a sprung divan base.
What is a zip and link mattress?
A zip and link mattress comprises two mattresses that join together to form a larger mattress. For example, a super king zip and link option constitutes two single mattresses that, when paired together, create a super king size mattress.
