Snuggle Beds Corona Low End Wooden Bed

Buying a bed on-line is no easy task - more often than not you go by the reviews of other customers and hope that they're being honest. This review is an honest, because I wouldn't want anyone to buy a product based on a review that I have left and they were not satisfied. It took me a number of days to make a choice, which was based on three things: (1) price (2) look (3) delivery time. The Snuggle Bed Corona Low End, 4ft Double Antique Wax Wooden Bed met my criteria. I paid to have the item delivered to the room of my choice (in the attic). The bed came in three boxes and one box was definitely heavy and there was no way I was going to carry it up three flights of stairs. Box 3 contained the instructions and the bag of tricks to put the bed together, but that was the last box that I opened. All the screws, nuts, allen key etc were in one bag and nothing was missing. I started putting it together on my own but got stuck when I had to screw the side rails to the top and bottom of the bed - from the images on the instruction leaflet it was not very clear on where to place them. At that point, my husband arrived and he figured it out (using his mechanic brain). I would say that it took about 2 hours to put it together and once complete it looked really nice. I went for this type of bed because it included a headboard and I did not want to faff around looking for one. The bed sits off the floor, just as in the picture on the site. It has a really nice feel to it and one thing you must not do is to use ANY polish on the wood - see the instructions. The bed is easy to move around but you need to be careful with the two leg supports under the bed - one has already fallen off, but it isn't a big deal - I'll use some strong glue to put it back on. But I am really pleased and happy with the bed and would definitely recommend it

Got this for my sons bedroom. He decided to buy a new mattress for himself. I thought to myself..... great, he's thinking for himself, how mature. He bought his own mattress and saved me the hassle and stress, hes all grow up. The problem is, he has a double bed frame, so he now needs a new frame, duvet, bed sheets duvet covers, the joblot. I get the feeling I got scammed. Anyway, the frame, its is perfect, good price point, looks really nice, its easy to set up. I put the bed frame up in about 20mins by myself, nothing difficult. The frame is sturdy, and as a bonus it gives your room a nice woodland smell. I've had frames made out of the same wood before. I would advise not to over tighten the locking screws on the corners of the frame as you can damage the wood. Its a soft wood, so take your time and be carefully. The wood will last and its strong, please dont misunderstand, it can just cause cosmetic damage if you're heavy handed. I recommend the bed frame, you won't find a better king size bed frame close to this price point. P.S the lads who delivered the frame were great, helpful and friendly.

Very sturdy bed,bought for spare bedroom for when grandchildren stay although with recent heatwave have found it fabulous for myself to escape to,didn't take too long to assemble,though I did press gang my son to help me,I was in trouble when I gave him the wrong long bolts to assemble the ends,after alot of sweating and a little time this was soon remedied(think im banned from helping).All parts fitted well and I must say it all seems very sturdy,no sqeaks or wobbles,good space underneath to slide storage boxes,slats are a good thickness with pre-drilled holes and spacers to keep the right distance between each slat.Very pleased with purchase seems better quality than more expensive beds ive looked at,good weight capacity for a single bed,most single pine beds will only take 80kg,if i remember correctly this one takes up to 120kg (but do check)looks good,smells nice to

Wonderful value! I purchased a Snuggle Beds Corona Low End 5' King Size Wooden Bed. The price was £159.00. This is an absolutely brilliant bed for the money! The wood has a light wax finish which may not please some people in terms of aesthetics but for myself and the wife we consider a bed to be a functional item and not something that we buy for aesthetic value. The very substantial bed posts measure 3 ?" on the side and when fully assembled the bed is very sturdy. We coupled the bed frame with a very economical IKEA mattress and now have a very comfortable bed for a bargain price. If you want a solid bed for a bargain price, I cannot recommend the Snuggle Beds Corona Low End 5' King Size Wooden Bed more highly.

We bought this bed frame to replace the divan bed we had bought almost 40 years ago. We replaced the mattress a few months ago but the bad back continued. We decided to try a wooden frame bed and chose this one. The bed looks really good and is a good solid frame and has cured the back problems. Putting the frame together was not the easist of jobs, in fact very difficult for 2 elderly people so a friend helped. The instructions were not that clear either. The quality of the part you see is lovely, some of the wooden slats underneath looked like the hind leg of the donkey (a Lancashire saying) but overall we are very pleased with the frame and also the service and customer care from Mattressman.

Over all, I'm very pleased with the bed. The finish looks great and I like the design. Construction wasn't easy, but I did it on my own, and the instructions do specify two people requried, so I can't really complain about that. All of the connectors and joints are well designed and engineered. Only complaints are that the machining of the corners and angles head board and posts are left a bit angular. Sharp would be too harsh a word, but a little more rounded would be preferable. Also, unfortunately one of the slats has broken. There was a large knot which left it very weak. I have managed a repair, but i feel this part should have been rejected in quality control.
