Silentnight Miracoil Ortho Mattress

I checked out many mattresses and dozens of reviews before buying this product. I was worried that it would not be firm enough ( I have been disappointed before ) and that I may need to spend more money to get something I liked. I decided NOT to buy the mattress protector which would have made me eligible for the 60 day trial - a small risk as there were so many good reviews. Mattress was delivered quickly. My first thought was that it was much too light to be a firm mattress ( esp in comparison to my old one from Ikea ) - I really thought “oh dear - I’ve made a mistake”. BUT… I made the bed up, lay down and was very happy with it. Nicely v firm - maybe a bit bouncy? But the bounciness was just in comparison to my saggy, soft old one. First night was good - a big change from the old one. After that it’s been ideal - completely used to it in 2-3 nights. The edges are also strong - not flattening too much. For £258 delivered I reckon it’s very good value for money. As for its durability, that’s something I’ll find out. I just hope it gives me at least 5 yrs of being like it is now. If there’re buyers out there who want to sink in to the mattress a little when lying in their sides - beware. Ditto for an older person with not much flesh on them. But… for me it’s perfect. If you like a firm mattress this will do! 1 week since the mattress was delivered and my lower back aches have eased. It might not be for everyone, but if like me, a firm but comfortable mattress is preferred at a reasonable price, this will do. Being quite tall, the king-size was ordered and fits my metal bed frame perfectly. Can't complain. Delivery was great. Took out the service to remove my old mattress so the process was seamless. Out with old in with the new. Cheers.

We wanted a firm support mattress and this is really good. We have put a mattress topper on too so it is a bit softer but maintains the back support. Can’t rate durability as we’ve only had it a week but Silentnight is a long-standing manufacturer so no reason to think it won’t last the distance. The only thing I would have liked to see was handles on the sides to make regular rotating easier. Delivery chaps great.

This is actually the second time I've purchased this mattress. I bought my first one about eight years ago, and it has lasted well. I struggle with lower back issues and find this mattress to be perfect for me. I also add a mattress topper to get the best of both worlds: the firmness I need and a little softness for added comfort.

i was very happy with this product. it arrived on time and was a fast delivery . the delivery driver was very helpful craying it up to my bedroom for me. very polite and friendly. i found the product very comfy and comfortable to sleep on. in general very pleased with the mattress and the service and delivery time slot given .

This is an excellent mattress! I was worried a little of it being too firm, but it is not. It's ideal. Very firm but still a mattress, it doesn't feel like you are sleeping on the floor. It looks very well made, feels like old school mattress quality and very durable. Best value for money mattress I have ever bought.
