This is a very good bed frame. It is sturdy and strong and made of pine. I have not yet assembled the bed but having owned the same bed (single size) before it is fairly straightforward. The only negative are the slats. The slats are good quality but you only get 12 with this bed which means that the distance between the slats is nearly 9 cm. However, you can purchase additional slats from the manufacturer at a reasonable price. The mattress that I am purchasing for this bed is designed for slats but the manufacturer clearly states that the slats should not be more than 7.5 cm apart. Most wooden beds come with a minimum number of slats but ideally this bed should have at least 4 more slats. For this bed, I will probably add another 8 slats.

I love this bed, it looks great, it’s easy to assemble and it’s heavy and sturdy. Really good quality. I had an issue with the first bed that was delivered, the customer service team are great and they sent a replacement out within 4 days.

Really pleased with my Julian Bowen double bed, having middle supports gives extra strength. The service from Mattressman from ordering to delivery was excellent. Would highly recommend them.
