What mattress sizes does Sealy offer?

Sealy's vast range encompasses almost every standard mattress size. Including single (90 x 190cm), small double (120 x 190cm), double (135 x 190cm), king size (150 x 200cm), super king size (180 x 200cm), king size zip and link (150 x 200cm/2x 75 x 200cm) and super king zip and link (180 x 200cm/ 2x 90 x 200cm) sizes. Sealy zip and link options are best paired with divan beds, allowing you to switch between two singles or one king size or super king size bed with ease.

What mattress size is suitable for me?

The size of your new mattress is dependent on your sleeping requirements and the available space your bedroom has to offer. For many couples sharing a bed, our range of double mattresses is a popular choice as they're spacious yet unlikely to prove too large for the majority of bedrooms. However, if you sleep alone, a single or small double bed is ideal, whereas for larger bedrooms, our king and super king mattresses are a great choice.

What is a divan bed?

A divan bed comprises two separable beds that join to form a bed frame. These beds are customisable, allowing you to choose between different headboards and storage options.

What types of Sealy mattresses are there?

Sealy mattresses include a wide variety of different types, ensuring there's an option for every kind of sleeper out there. Shop by type below to find your ideal Sealy bed.

Pocket sprung

Some of Sealy's best-known mattresses are pocket sprung, providing zoned support fantastic for a great night's sleep. Each pocket spring moves independently, allowing for a body-moulding mattress surface with next to no motion transfer. Pocket-sprung mattresses are a great choice if you're actively looking for a mattress that offers genuine support and a tailored sleep experience. Available in soft, medium and medium firm support tensions, we're confident that you'll find the Sealy mattress to suit the way you sleep.

Open coil

Often used for mattresses on the firmer end of the spectrum, the Sealy range has included innovative beds such as the Posturepedic collection in their open coil options. The springs are designed to relieve pressure on strained areas of the body, such as joints and the back. There truly is an open coil for everyone amongst Sealy mattresses, including soft, medium, medium firm, firmer and extra firm options. A Sealy posturepedic mattress offers a restful night's sleep and dependable durability at a superb price.

Hybrid

Hybrid mattresses combine a traditional spring unit with a comfort layer such as memory foam, latex or Geltex. This means you can get the best of both worlds: the support from open coil or pocket spring mattresses with the sumptuous benefits of whatever comfort layer suits you best.

Memory foam

There are an array of Sealy beds that have incorporated a layer of memory foam. Comprised of foam with millions of holes designed to seep out air when pressure is applied, the surface moulds to the shape and contours of your body. If you're a hot sleeper, you may prefer to opt for a latex or Geltex option as memory foam is known for its heat retention properties.

Latex

Natural latex is derived from rubber trees and is an extremely durable and bouncy material. Latex mattresses are designed to be around for 10 or more years, providing a good night's sleep due to its breathable and moisture-wicking qualities. Combined with a pocket sprung unit, you can have a brilliant night's sleep knowing you're receiving a high level of support and comfort.

Geltex

Geltex is a synthetic material designed to regulate your temperature as you sleep at night. Its comprised of an elastic gel combined with air-permeable foam, ensuring that you have a much cooler sleep by comparison to memory foam. Similarly to latex, Geltex is also a hypoallergenic material that's fantastic for hayfever or allergy sufferers.

What's the right Sealy mattress for me?

Softer or medium mattress

Best designed for preferred side sleepers, a softer or medium support tension provides cushioning for pressure points such as the shoulders and hips. This firmness is supportive of this sleeping position as it helps promote healthy spine alignment whilst sleeping on your side.

Medium firm

If you find yourself sleeping in all positions throughout the night, a medium firm bed is the best mattress for the way you sleep. This is because the mattress is neither too firm nor too soft to support you across side, back or front sleeping.

Firmer or extra firm mattress

Firmer or extra firm tensions are often referred to as orthopaedic mattresses. Great for back or stomach sleepers, the firm support ensures your spine is aligned in a healthy position as you sleep. The extra firm tension is mostly designed for anyone who is affected by back or joint pain and needs additional support in order to combat this.

'Do I need a hypoallergenic mattress?'

If you're affected by hayfever, allergies or a dust mite allergy, you're likely going to need a hypoallergenic mattress. Many options across Sealy products have incorporated smart fibres, which have been endorsed by Allergy UK. If you aren't affected by these, you can opt for a mattress that includes natural fillings such as wool, cotton, silk and more.

The Orthopaedic Advisory Board

Sealy continually goes above and beyond to ensure their mattresses will not only provide you with the perfect night's sleep that's designed for you but also assure their mattresses are designed by people across professions that give their seal of approval. Including orthopaedic surgeons, doctors and clinicians, they collaborate to guarantee that there is a Sealy mattress for every kind of sleeper.
