How do anti dust mite mattresses work?

Two main approaches are used. The first is a treated comfort filling that resists dust mite colonisation: hypoallergenic hollowfibre, treated wool, or natural fillings like silk that don't support dust mites well. The second is a tightly woven cover (sometimes called an "encasement" cover) that prevents dust mites from passing in or out of the comfort layers.

Is it the same as anti-allergy?

Anti dust mite is a subset of anti-allergy. A mattress described as anti-allergy will usually be anti dust mite as well, plus address other allergens like pet dander and mould. If your symptoms are dust mite specific, both labels are worth considering equally.

Care and bedding

To get the most from an anti dust mite mattress, pair it with a hypoallergenic mattress protector and wash bedding at 60°C or above weekly. Vacuum the mattress every couple of months and air the room daily.

Delivery

Anti dust mite mattresses are available across every standard UK size and qualify for free next-working-day delivery on in-stock orders before 4pm. 60-night sleep trial on every mattress with a protector.
