SleepSoul Heaven 1000 Mattress

Very happy. I’ve never put any thought into buying a mattress before. But the aches and pains of age and significant weight gain, led me to doing a little homework before landing on the SleepSoul Heaven. WHICH magazines rating especially influenced my decision. Only had it a week, so can’t comment on durability but everything else has been exceptional. The quality is just obvious as soon as it’s unrolled and taken shape. Feels and looks like quality. As for comfort, the majority of comments I’d read had suggested that the Heaven was on the firmer side of medium/firm. I’m a big guy, 6’2” and overweight right now, so wasn’t expecting any mattress to feel firm with my weight on top of it. And, as expected, the Heaven doesn’t feel firm for me, more the softer side of medium. What it does feel is extremely comfortable. I sink into it but feel supported. And most importantly I wake up without the back pain I’ve become accustomed to recently. Granted this probably has something to do with the quality and condition of my old, basic spring mattress but Pocket Sprung, Memory Foam has won me over. As has SleepSoul. I’ve read comments criticising the edge support of the Heaven so have tried to pay particular attention to this and simply can’t agree with them. Maybe it’s a durability thing that I can’t comment on, or they’re talking about sitting on the very edge rather than laying on…but, rolling to, or sleeping close to the edge feels just the same as the main body of the mattress to me. And at around £230 it hasn’t broke the bank, so good value for money id say.

Following the most horrendous experience with Emma Sleep which is still ongoing and I still haven't been refunded for a mattress they took my money for but didn't have available, bought this as it was also recommended as best buy by Which? It arrived next day, no hassle, and feels amazing! It was for my son but I am so jealous as it is possibly the most comfortable mattress I've ever lain on. I was buying the Emma because of the hype but tbh my brother has one and when I slept on it at his I wasn't particularly overwhelmed. Just seemed very spongy. This one feels like a top end pocket sprung mattress for a very reasonable price. Feels soft but very supportive. I haven't rated its durability as we have only had it a few weeks, but I would definitely recommend giving it a go.

The ordering process was really simple through the Mattress man website, I was kept informed when mattress would be delivered and the actual delivery was on the day stated and delivered without an issue. When mattress was unpacked and left to rise, I was impressed with the overall comfort and quality for the money having had experience in both use and selling high end mattresses. My daughter loves her new mattress. I don't know how durable it will be overtime as we have only had it for a week but overall a great experience.

We have had this mattress for a few weeks now, and find it very comfortable. We were pleased that it is recommended by Which? magazine, and we think it is good value for money. It was delivered vacuum-packed, so it was easy to put in place. Unfortunately, we didn't notice the free tool provided for opening the packaging until it was too late, so we did have difficulty opening the plastic (prior warning would have been good!). The mattress expanded fully in 2-3 hours, and was ready to sleep on that night.

I bought this mattress based the majority of excellent reviews and the fact that it was a Which? best buy. This, together with the fact that it was for a spare room led me to decide not to buy the mattress protector and opt for the 60 day trial. I have slept on the mattress many times and I've found it extremely comfortable. I would say that it's definitely medium but supportive too. Communication with the delivery company was excellent too.

For the price point this is a really great value mattress. It's supportive to two differing sleep styles (one on back, one on side). It's medium firmness. For older people if the mattress is to go into a upstairs bedroom for the majority I'd suggested having someone carry this upstairs for you and take it out of the box and unroll it onto the bed as the weight I think is around 20+ kilos (so a very heavy suitcase weight).
