European vs UK small single
UK small single is 75 x 190cm; European small single is 80 x 200cm. The extra 10cm in length is the more significant difference for adults and older children, who may have outgrown a UK single mattress by their late teens. The 5cm extra width is barely noticeable in day-to-day use.
Where do you find European small single beds in the UK?
European small single bed frames are imported by a number of UK retailers, including IKEA and many cabin/bunk bed specialists. If you're buying a children's or teenager's bed and it's described in centimetres rather than inches, there's a good chance the mattress size is European rather than UK.
