Why buy a European king mattress?

The most common reason is that you've bought a bed frame designed for European sizing. UK and European bed dimensions don't match across either side of the channel, and a standard UK king size mattress won't fit a European king frame correctly. Some sleepers also choose European king because they want a wider mattress than UK king without going up to super king.

European king vs UK king and super king

UK king size is 150 x 200cm. UK super king is 180 x 200cm. European king sits between them at 160 x 200cm. The length is the same as the UK super king, so you only need to think about the width when comparing.

What mattresses come in European king?

Bedding for a European king
