What aspects of the bed frame can I customize?
Bed size
You can opt for any standard UK size when you build your own bed with Mattressman, including small single beds (75 x 190cm), single (90 x 190cm), small double (120 x 190cm), double (135 x 190cm), king size (150 x 200cm) and super king size (180 x 200cm). When you're designing your own bed frame, ensure you take measurements of the bedroom you wish to place it in so the custom divan base is the right dimensions in length and width.
Storage space
The benefit of creating your own personalised divan is that you can select from the storage options that are most appropriate for your bedroom and space. The storage options available include no drawers, 2 drawers (along one length of the bed), 4 drawers, 2 large + 2 small drawers (ideal for beds with bedside tables on either side), half ottoman, side ottoman and end ottoman. The storage offered that's most similar to ottoman beds provides the most space, helping to diminish the need for other storage solutions in your bedroom. Please note that divan bases of a smaller or larger size are not compatible with all storage space types.

With our customisable divan bases, the depth of your mattress must be considered to see if it is compatible with your design. With this being said, every mattress we stock is appropriate for each design combination and there isn't a mattress that's too deep. All you need to consider is whether the mattress firmness is appropriate for the way you sleep. By comparison to slats used across standard bed frames, our custom divans bed offer a platform top which is essentially a solid surface with no springs, and can affect the overall support your mattress provides by making it feel slightly firmer. So, no matter the mattress support tension you use, expect it to feel more firm when using a bed base like this, especially if you use a soft, medium or medium firm mattress.
How long do I have to wait for my customised divan base?
Because our divan bases are made to order in line with the custom size, storage, fabric and headboard that you choose, there is a small lead time before you will receive your new bed. We aim to have your customised bed frame constructed and ready to be delivered in approximately 3 weeks, so please take this into account when ordering.
