With us spending so much of our lives in bed, it is worth thinking seriously before committing to a mattress, especially as there is so much to think about before buying. Things like budget, quality and value for money all play a big part in the decision process.

The first, and in many ways easiest decision is the size of mattress you need.

Single Mattresses

Single mattresses are, as the name suggests, ideal for a person on their own, or a child. Measuring 3 foot in width (or 90 cm) and 6 foot 3 long (190 cm) they are used either in small bedrooms or as part of a pair in a twin room.

Double Mattresses

The classic and most popular size of mattress, double beds have been the standard in the UK for many years. They are four foot six wide (135cm) and six foot three (190cm) long and provide space for two people to sleep. We have a wide range of UK mattresses in this size, ready for next day delivery.

King Size Mattress

Gaining in popularity all the time is the king size mattress. Common in luxury hotels, they provide extra space both horizontally and in length creating a quality mattress. They measure a generous 5 foot (150cm) by six foot six (200cm) and are commonly called Queen size in the USA.

Super King Mattress

Boasting a huge width of 6 foot (180cm) and a length of 6 foot 6 (200cm) these truly are the kings of beds and the largest size available without going in for a custom made mattress.

Build

We sell mattresses online in a variety of builds, fillings and designs. Memory Foam is one of the most popular fillings. Either used exclusively throughout the mattress or just over the surface, memory foam moulds to the shape of the body, supporting you where you need it most. Pocket Springs are another popular mattress construction. These great springs are housed in their own, individual fabric tubes so that they react to the individual pressure points of your body.
