Is a soft mattress right for me?
Softer mattresses are ideally suited for side sleepers, with the soft tension providing cushioned support to the hip and shoulder. If you're a front or back sleeper, a soft mattress is deemed unsuitable as the mattress surface will be too soft and cause improper spine alignment. Moreover, a soft mattress is best suited for side sleepers of a lighter stature, and if you're a side sleeper of a heavier build, then a medium or medium firm mattress may be more suitable.
