Exclusive to Mattressman, the British Bed Company creates mattresses for various businesses, including hotels, B&Bs, landlords, universities, leisure parks, boarding schools, and so much more. Suppose you're a business owner searching for new sleeping solutions for your establishment. The British Bed Company contract range has mattresses to fit everyone's needs and budgets. Please continue to browse our selection here, and read more about the qualities that make all their beds superb below.

Qualities of British Bed Company contract mattresses

Versatile

Everyone has their preference regarding their bed, whether soft and body-moulding or firm and pressure-relieving. With the British Bed Company's collection, you can rely on their versatility to provide the ultimate comfort for your guests. They showcase medium, medium firm and firmer support across their selection, which are appropriate for every kind of sleeper.

UK fire regulations

The British Bed Company contract collection's mattresses meet British Standards Source 5 fire regulations. These tests demonstrate that the outer cover has been treated with a flame retardant, ensuring the material won't easily catch on fire. This is a legal requirement for mattresses used in contract settings such as hotels, B&Bs, care homes and similar establishments.

Rod edging

When purchasing new beds for your establishment, you want guaranteed quality, durability and longevity. Including rod edges in the British Bed Company contract collection does just this. Around the perimeter of the mattress, the rod strengthens the edges and keeps the spring system in place and will prevent sagging.

Hypoallergenic fillings

In line with the versatility of the contract beds range, British Bed Company includes hypoallergenic fillings in most of their mattresses. You can rely on their anti-allergy fillings that are appropriate for all sleepers, especially dust mite allergy sufferers. Aside from the Hotel Four Pocket Mattress, which includes natural cotton and wool fillings, this option is considered more of a luxury mattress.

Double-sided

Double-sided mattresses are brilliant for businesses, as you can regularly flip and rotate them to extend the mattress's longevity. This means the springs won't succumb to repeated pressure for too long and maintains their comfort rating. The Landlord Memory Tuft Mattress features a memory foam layer on the surface, which means it is a one-sided mattress.

What types of mattresses are included in the contract beds collection?

We include three mattresses in the contract bed range: pocket springs, open coil and memory foam.

Pocket springs

The Hotel Pocket collection uses the pocket spring system in their mattresses. With each individual spring encapsulated in a fabric pocket, they move independently of one another to create a body-moulding mattress surface. Not only does this mean you won't feel your partner moving around at night, but you'll get an undisturbed, quiet night's sleep. Lastly, the breathable material included in the mattress cover, completed with hand-tufting, offers exceptional softness and durability.

Open coil

Made using a continuous coil that comprises the entire spring system, open coil mattresses offer great support. In comparison to pocket springs, open coil mattresses are much cheaper. However, they are less durable and comfortable as they don't provide the same body-moulding comfort as pocket springs. They are the best mattress choice for establishments with many beds to fill due to their affordability.

Memory foam hybrid

If you're looking for memory foam options in your establishment, the British Bed Company has one hybrid memory foam mattress. Combining an open coil spring system with a memory foam layer on the surface, your guests can benefit from superb support and body-moulding comfort from foam. You can view this mattress here.
