The firm sleeping area on the Crown Jewell is provided through the edge guard system which is a high density foam strip that is placed inside the edge of the mattresses springs to prevent sagging and prolonging the life of the mattress. The base of the divan set is 50% firmer than average sprung bases, which means there is an improvement to the support of the mattress and the life is also extended by up to 25%.
